Description

Working Together to Safeguard Children highlights the need for all of us to improve our curiosity about children, their families and their networks. This involves being ‘professionally curious’ and includes the need to engage positively with children, their carers, and those who support them; the need to understand what is happening within a child and family’s life and not accept things on face value; to be curious and ask difficult questions; to be able to challenge each other; and to be open to ‘thinking the unthinkable’. This workshop aims to help you consider how to apply Professional Curiosity to the field of sexual abuse in fostering contexts.
