Angela has over 27 years of experience working with children and families. Having started her career in education and receiving a Bachelors Degree in Child Development, Angela worked in a variety of educational roles, from early years teacher to pastoral support with adolescents. After completing a Masters in Social Work in 2011, she spent time as a social worker in CAMHS and as a School Based Social Worker and Safeguarding Lead. Angela’s training includes DDP, Theraplay, a certificate in Connective NVR and a certificate for Therapeutic Life Story Work in 2022.
Angela has worked in Post Adoption and SGO Support for nearly a decade and has recently founded Ascend Parenting to reach a wide variety of families needing support.
Angela is passionate about supporting young people who have experienced trauma to access the healing experiences and connections they need and deserve.
