Jane Hollobone

Humanistic therapist, qualified lecturer and experienced foster carer

Jane setup Therapeutic Support in Safe Hands (TSinSH) in response to the increasing need to support young people with attachment, mental health and identity issues. To support her aims Jane added the Diploma in Therapeutic Life Story work (TLSW) and Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP 1 & 2) to her tool kit.

Jane has worked full-time as a Therapeutic Life Story Work (TLSW) Practitioner, Trainer, Mentor and TLSW Clinical Supervisor in her own practice for almost a decade now, as well as having been an Associate Psychotherapist for Beacon House Therapeutic Services and Trauma team, offering Therapeutic Parenting and TLSW intervention.

Previously Jane was a teacher for 27 years, obtaining an MA in Education, and BA (Hons) in the Professional Studies of Learning and Development. Latterly in her teaching career Jane specialised in safeguarding and intervention, working with 14-24 year olds with special educational needs. As part of her role she undertook training in Autism Awareness, Sign Language and Mental Health First Aid within a wider, extensive list of continued professional development and study.

Jane has experience as a corporate trainer, working with local authorities to deliver bespoke training to social workers and foster carers, in addition to working within large blue chip organisations offering customer service, multi-skilling and new recruit development projects.

Having been asked by Richard Rose to join THEiA as a contributor to their training team, Jane is thrilled to be a tiny part of this outstanding programme with an admirable ethos. She very much looks forward to meeting you.
