Jayne Jukes

Independent multi-disciplinary therapist, trainer and supervisor

With over 20 years’ experience of working with families and children specialising in supporting care experienced and adopted children.

Having completed a B.A. in Fine Art she went on to gain a Post Graduate Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy. Thus, began her Play Therapy journey and after obtaining an M.A. in Play Therapy she has focused on adding additional therapeutic disciplines to her repertoire. These include Therapeutic Life Story Work, Theraplay, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy, The Just Right State Programme, Filial Therapy and Sand Therapy. She completed her first supervisory training in 2008 and has supervised other therapists since then.

She has run her own therapeutic service, Play Space Therapy for over 15 years.

She is also an experienced trainer working extensively in schools training staff in play, attachment and trauma informed approaches. She was an Associate Tutor on the M.A. in Practice Based Play Therapy a collaboration between Play Therapy U.K. and Canterbury Christchurch University. She was also part of a UNICEF/Play Therapy U.K partnership and trained Healthcare professionals in Attachment Based Play in Ethiopia. She also worked with Dr. Sue Jennings delivering attachment training in Brasov, Romania.
